The purpose of this ceremony is to give the bride good wishes and to remind her the relatives whom she will leave behind as she gets married. As soon as all the kaleeras are tied to the kadas, the bride tries to break her kaleeras over the heads of her unmarried sisters and friends. The color yellow is considered to be highly auspicious and brings good luck, especially when embarking no a new adventure. In this ceremony, yellow turmeric and flowers are showered on the bride and the groom before their wedding. Expect lots of yellow color and fun!
