What does a Muslim wedding photographer cover in Thailand?
A Muslim wedding in Thailand can be one Nikah ceremony at a mosque, the Sheikhul Islam Office or a hotel, or a celebration over several days with Mehndi, the Nikah, a wedding reception and the Walima. Koro Films photographs and films all of it with one Bangkok-based team: natural photos, a cinematic highlight film and a full-length film, plus a live stream for family abroad if you want one.
We work with Thai Muslim couples and with couples who fly in from abroad. Before the day we go through your schedule, the order of the Nikah and any rules at the mosque or venue, so we know where to stand and when to step back. A Muslim wedding is also called an Islamic wedding, Nikah or Nikkah — in Thai งานแต่งงานมุสลิม, in Arabic زواج إسلامي.

What happens at a Muslim wedding? Four days in Hua Hin
Every family celebrates a little differently. Sanaa and Moheeth celebrated over four days in Hua Hin — this is how a multi-day Muslim wedding flows, and what we photograph at each event.

Nikah
Day 1 · The marriage contract
The Nikah is the Islamic marriage contract and the heart of the wedding. An imam or officiant leads it, the couple give their consent — Ijab and Qabul — in front of witnesses, the Nikah-nama is signed and the families make du’a together. At Sanaa and Moheeth’s Nikah, the women of the family held a white veil over the bride.
What we capture: The signing, the du’a, parents’ faces, the first sweet shared as a married couple and quiet portraits after the ceremony.

Décor & details
Day 1 · Before the guests arrive
White flowers, silver candelabras and long wedding tables. We photograph the décor and the Nikah table while the room is still empty and the light is clean — your planner and florist will want these photos too.
What we capture: The Nikah table, the flowers, the place settings and the venue before it fills up.

Mehndi
Day 2 · Colour, music and dancing
The Mehndi night is the most colourful event of a South Asian Muslim wedding: bright yellows and pinks, cousins carrying a dupatta canopy over the bride as she walks in, the dhol, dancing and plenty of confetti.
What we capture: The bride’s entrance, the family dances, the couple on the stage and the guests on the dance floor.

Wedding reception
Day 3 · The big night
The main wedding reception, often called the Shaadi or Baraat, is the formal evening: the bride’s entrance, the stage, the cake and a long line of relatives coming up to bless the couple.
What we capture: The entrance, the décor, the stage greetings and family photos with both sides.

Rukhsati
Day 3 · The farewell
Rukhsati is the bride’s farewell from her family and one of the most emotional moments of the wedding. Then come the small family rituals and games — every family has its own.
What we capture: Tears and hugs at the farewell, the couple leaving together and the fun moments that follow.

Walima
Day 4 · The groom’s family reception
The Walima is the reception hosted by the groom’s family after the Nikah. Sanaa and Moheeth’s was an evening outdoors: a white floral stage, a silver outfit for the bride and a sparkler send-off to close four days of celebrations.

How do we photograph a Nikah respectfully?
A Nikah is a religious ceremony first and a photo opportunity second. This is how we work on the day.

Plan with you and your venue
We go through the schedule, the order of the Nikah and your family photo list. We coordinate with your imam or venue about where we can stand and what is allowed during the ceremony.

Stay in the background
During the recitation, the Ijab and Qabul and the du’a we stay quiet and out of the way. No heavy posing: we capture real moments and keep portraits for after the Nikah.

Photos and films are edited in soft tones and balanced light, with care for modesty and for what matters to your faith and your family.

A Nikah or a one-day wedding in Bangkok starts from 20,000 THB for photos (4 hours, 2 photographers) or 30,000 THB for film (4 hours, 3 cinematographers). A wedding over several days with Mehndi, Nikah, reception and Walima uses our flat-price multi-day packages, from 220,000 THB for 2 days of photo and film.

Our one-day packages in Bangkok start from 20,000 THB for photos (4 hours, 2 photographers) and 30,000 THB for film (4 hours, 3 cinematographers). Weddings over several days with Mehndi, Nikah, reception and Walima use our flat-price multi-day packages, from 220,000 THB for 2 days of photo and film. Travel outside Bangkok is extra.
Can you take photos inside a mosque?
Every mosque has its own rules. Before the day we coordinate with your imam or the venue about where we can stand and what we can photograph, and we follow those rules during the Nikah.
Do you photograph a Nikah at the Sheikhul Islam Office in Bangkok?

Which events of a Muslim wedding do you cover?
All of them: Mehndi, the Nikah, the wedding reception (Shaadi or Baraat), Rukhsati and the Walima, plus a pre-wedding shoot if you want one. We can cover one event or every event over several days.

Yes. We are based in Bangkok and cover weddings across Thailand, including Hua Hin, Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak, and abroad in Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Travel outside Bangkok is quoted with your package.
Can we have a same-day edit at our reception?
Yes. A same-day edit is a 4–6 minute film made during the wedding day, ready to show at your reception, like Anfas and Shamina’s. It costs 15,000 THB extra with our multi-day packages.
Do you fly a drone at Muslim weddings?
Drone aerials are 5,000 THB extra on one-day film packages and included in multi-day packages, wherever the venue and local rules allow it.
When will we receive our photos and films?
Photos and films are delivered online 60–90 days after full payment.
