A DISCO DANDIYA is a traditional folk dance that originated in the area of Gujarat, India. It typically includes a solo male dancer and a group of female dancers. The male dancer typically wears a brightly colored dress with two strips of cloth tied around the waist and a white cloth draped over his shoulder.
The female dancers wear brightly colored saris and usually cover their heads with any variety of headgear including turbans, colorful shawls or scarves, or elaborately embroidered veils called ghagras.
