Wedding in Ubon Ratchathani is traditionally a time when the groom’s family, The bride’s family presents offerings to the groom’s family in gratitude for accepting their daughter into their home.
The groom’s family will then present the bride with her dowry (or “tip”) consisting of gold jewels and money. The bride then brings her dowry back to her parents’ house where she will share it with her siblings.
